• Applications
  • WT-309LS is utilized for the cladding of carbon steels. It may also be used to weld Type 309 stainless steel and to join carbon and low alloy steels to austenitic stainless steels.
  • Characteristics on Usage
    • - This self-shielded, flux cored, stainless steel electrode has a nominal weld metal composition of 24% chromium and 13% nickel with a maximum carbon content of 0.03%.
    • - The low carbon maximizes carbide precipitation and makes the weld metal more resistant to intergranular corrosion.
  • Notes on Usage
    • - It has to use DCEP (electrode positive).
    • - Shielding gas is not required.
